Did you know that women are twice as likely to develop ‘significant depressive symptoms’ once they enter perimenopause?

An interesting study with 133 participants was just completed comparing ‘Individualized Homeopathic Treatment and Fluoxetine for Moderate to Sever Depression in Peri- and Postmenopausal Women’. Fluoxetine is another name for SSRI drug, Prozac. This study was of the highest quality as it is a randomized, double-dummy, double-Blind, and placebo-controlled trial and also the first of its kind. What it found was interesting: both groups had improvement in their depression symptoms, but participants who received individualized homeopathic treatment also reported significant improvement in their physical symptoms.
