Encouraging new market data from, Bundesverband der Arzneimittel-Hersteller e.V. (BAH), an independent polling institution, shows that over half the German population has used homeopathic medicines and that the number of users has gone up from 53% of the population in 2009 to 60% in 2014.

Great news, homeopathy in Germany is alive and well!

Homeopathy was developed and has been practiced in Germany for over two hundred years and it’s inspiring to learn about how well integrated it is with conventional approaches.  Something to work towards over here in British Columbia.

The main reason they chose homeopathy was for its low incidence of side effects.

The most popular uses are for colds and ‘flu, immune system strengthening, sun burns and insect bites. See my post about a common plant that works VERY well for bites and stings.

Other popular uses (and ones I see very frequently in my own practice) are for headaches, indigestion, sleeplessness, and stomach ache.
