In the summer, a friend was headed to Washington, D.C. and I enlisted her to find the Samuel Hahnemann Memorial and take some pictures of it for me. Hahnemann (1755-1843) was the founder of the homeopathic school of medicine.
The monument was authorized by Congress in January, 1900 and was built the following May. It was a gift from the American Institute of Homeopathy. Take a look at the amazing inscriptions; it is truly impressive!
